Jio subscription validity and annual renewal notification for DLT registrations

Dear Clients,

This is to bring to your notice that we have received a Jio DLT subscription renewal mail with the subject "Subscription Validity and Renewal of Annual subscription charges to our TrueConnect DLT Services". We hope many of our clients who had registered with Jio as per our suggestions may have received the same. The validity is set to 31st January 2023 and the payment link has been activated at the Jio DLT portal.

The DLT registration charges were already enforced by other mobile operators as per TRAI regulation. Only Jio offered the same as free till a few months ago.

As per the initial communication on DLT from various sources, we were informed that the DLT registration charges would be one time but as per the recent mail intimations from Jio we understand that the same is presented to be an annual subscription and an amount of Rs.5000.00 ┾ GST needs to be paid to Jio yearly for availing the DLT platform services.

We are in contact of multiple stakeholders and no one can confirm if the same will be the norm for other mobile operators as well. No such steps/changes or annual subscription charges have been declared by any other mobile operator.

Hence, we need to wait for the time being before processing any payments to Jio for the subscription. Also, as a backup option however you may use the existing Principal Entity ID to register yourself at Airtel and/or Vi DLT interfaces also, so that your DLT interface access remains valid without Jio's subscription, if it happens so.
