Google launches Gemini Spark, a 24/7 personal AI agent, in India

Google is bringing its new AI agent named Gemini Spark, to India. It works 24/7 and can complete tasks for you based on your instructions. Google first introduced Spark at it’s annual developer event Google I/O in May. Powered by Gemini 3.5, Spark is built into the Gemini app. It can understand information from connected apps, think through tasks and take action for users. Google says the goal is to make everyday digital tasks easier while you having the full control. It can find information from apps like Gmail and Google Docs making it easier to manage users  tasks. Soon, Spark will also work with popular apps like Open Table, Spotify, and Uber. Users can decide which apps and information Spark is allowed to access. If it works as Google expects, Gemini Spark could help people stay organized, schedule emails, manage daily tasks, and save time.

While some people have raised concerns about AI agents that are always active. Google says Gemini Spark will ask for your permission before doing important tasks like sending an email or buying something. In India, Gemini Spark will be available for both Google AI Pro subscribers and AI Ultra users. Google AI Pro starts at Rs 1950 per month, while AI Ultra costs between Rs 6500 to Rs 19500 per month depending on the storage and usage plan.  Lastly, Gemini Spark is not available with the cheaper Google AI Plus plan.
