Hosting > Network Detail
The NOC is a 24/7 facility with multiple loops of redundancy.
It has been engineered from the ground up to accommodate the
high-availability demands of the internet's most popular websites.
The datacenter and network have been optimized for outsourcing
web servers.
Uninterruptible Power System
To guard against local power failures, our NOC has two industrial-grade,
three-phase Liebert UPS systems. These act as back-up batteries,
maintaining uninterrupted power in case of surges or power
outages. With these back-up systems in place, we can keep
our network up and running indefinitely without relying on
external power.
Redundant Power Supplies
Each server employs dual-redundant hot swap power supplies.
If a power supply were to fail, the server would continue
running with power from the alternate supply. Meanwhile, alarms
would alert a technician, who would quickly restore redundancy.
In the meantime, servers and client sites would experience
no downtime.
Connected to Three Backbones
The NOC is connected to three tier 1 backbones. They include
Genuity, AT&T & Qwest. Each backbone is made up of
thousands of miles worth of fiber optic cabling and multiple
ATM nodes throughout the world.
Network Redundancy
The NOC uses intelligent end-user routing software
called Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) between its backbone
providers. BGP identifies which path is the most efficient
for each data packet and then routes the packet to its destination
on the fastest path.
Infrastructure
Our Class A Co-location Internet Data Center located at Netaxs,
Bethlehem, PA, USA. Key factors in selecting the right facility
include the reliability and redundancy of the internal center
components and external network to the Internet. Our Data
Centre provides redundant power sources, multiple data paths,
and multiple backbone access. Security is at the top of the
list and they have designed a top-notch system to provide
logistical features such as fire suppression systems, motion
sensors, 24/7 secured access, and security alarms.
Data Centre Specifications :
Over 7,000 square feet of Class A Co-location center on 18"
raised floor. Liebert precision air conditioning systems with
Critical control of temperature, humidity and air quality.
Under-floor power and data distribution systems. Fully ventilated
data cabinets. Individual keying system for security and convenience
and Power distribution system included in cabinet. Centralized
Liebert Power Protection with Full-time power conditioning,
Full-time surge suppression, UPS (battery backup), Load monitored
Liebert power distribution systems, Cummins Onan standby power
generation and Fully monitored diesel powered generator set.
FM-200 Clean Agent fire suppression system
with Rapid extinguishing system (10 seconds or less) Active
on fire... inert on people. Affords the greatest protection
against business interruptions due to fire. Pre-Action Sprinkler
System. As an extra protection against catastrophic fire damage
Sprinkler pipes remain dry under normal operation. Pipes are
"charged" with water only after FM-200 deluge. Still
requires sustained heat to open sprinkler valve. 24/7 Photo
ID Security Access, 24/7 Video Surveillance, 24/7 monitored
security alarm system.
Reliability
99% uptime with Redundant multiple connections to national
backbone providers. OC3 and T3 data circuits. Managed 24/7
Network Operations Center with Monitoring and Security Alarming
for each server circuit.
